Republican, Sarah Louise Palin was the youngest person and
the first woman ever elected Governor of Alaska. She held
the position from 2006 to 2009 when she resigned to be John
McCain's running mate in the U.S. presidential election.
Sarah Palin released her autobiography 'Going Rogue: An American
Life' in November 2009. In March 2010 it was announced that
she was to host her own TV show, called 'Sarah Palin's Alaska'.
She is authoring a second book, 'America By Heart', which
is expected to be on the shelves in November 2010.
In April 2010, TIME magazine had selected Sarah Palin as one
of the 100 World's Most Influential People.
